I would like to take this moment to invite everyone to take out their favorite Yanni CD, put it in their CD player, press "play", and then recall the many happy hours we spent "Entropy-ing it up". As the soaring melodies of Yanni's music sweep over you, recall how Yanni was always there, in spirit, at each and every Entropy event- with Madeline as Nathan Carter, having a few "good times", with Claire as Sherlock Holmes and her unfortunate wardrobe, with Deirdre as Cyrano, wooing Claire with her huge nose... Yanni has always been an inspiration to us all, and now it is time to recall together these wonderful times that Yanni has shared with us.

The Assumption of Our Lady

Happy feast day of the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven!
"Let us all rejoice in the Lord, celebrating this festival in honor of the most blessed Virgin Mary, on whose assumption into heaven the angels rejoice and give praise to the Son of God. My heart hath uttered a good word; I speak my works to the King."

Ecclesiasticus 24:11-20

In all things I sought rest, and I shall abide in the inheritance of the Lord. Then the Creator of all things commanded, and said to me: and He that made me rested in my tabernacle. And He said to me: Let thy dwelling be in Jacob, and thy inheritance in Israel, and take root in My elect. From the beginning, and before the world, was I created, and unto the world to come I shall not cease to be, and in the holy dwelling-place I have ministered before Him. And so was I established in Sion, and in the holy city likewise I rested, and my power was in Jerusalem. And I took root in an honorable people, and in the portion of my God His inheritance, and my abode is in the full assembly of saints. Pesky mosquitos...

I recently learned that mosquito bites can be neutralized by rubbing the inside of a banana peel on them. It takes a couple minutes for the stinging and itching to stop, but after that it will be permanently itch-free! It's awesome; try it. I found that out on www.bananas.com, if you were curious.
