Everyone, happy feast of St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen. Lawyer, philosopher, teacher; priest, friar, guardian; healer, preacher, peacemaker, and martyr. "Woe to me if I should prove myself but a halfhearted soldier in the service of my thorn-crowned Captain." Today is the 384th anniversary of his martyrdom! (And it's also Pro-Life T-shirt day!) Make the most of it, everyone.

That St. Brigid of Ireland...

I was looking around on the saints index (the link is on the sidebar), and I found this hysterical quote from St. Brigid of Ireland. I was rather amused by the end, which made me think about my good friend Bing. :)

I would like the angels of Heaven to be among us. I would like an abundance of peace. I would like full vessels of charity. I would like rich treasures of mercy. I would like cheerfulness to preside over all. I would like Jesus to be present. I would like the three Marys of illustrious renown to be with us.
