Golden Granola

• 3 cups quick or old fashioned oats
• 1 cup shredded or flaked coconut
• 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
• 0.25 cup honey
• 0.25 cup butter, melted
• 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon
• 0.6666666 cup raisins

Combine all ingredients except raisins in ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan; mix well. Bake in preheated 350* oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Stir in raisins. Cool thoroughly, store in tightly covered container in cool dry place or in refrigerator. Makes 6 cups of granoler.

(Microwave: Combine all ingredients except raisins in 11 x 7 inch baking dish, microwave at high for 8-10 minutes. Stir after every 2 minutes of cooking. Stir in raisins.)

Thirty-nine years later...

I'm sorry for scaring everyone with Harry's picture. I thought I would try to soften the blow by posting this adorable picture of him that's much more recent. I found this on a website that had information on an improvisation class that he was teaching in January of 2005. I wish we had known about it because any drama type class with Alan Arkin would be really smashing!

It's almost Saturday evening, and Bing and I have a problem: what should we make for dessert? It has to be something so delicious that it makes up for the past few days of deprivation. I was thinking of mixing up an ice cream pie, but decided it doesn't have enough ingredients. Plus, I couldn't find the recipe for graham cracker crust.
