Life

So I have a life. Of sorts. This is how it is.

I am at home. So far, I haven't done anything particularly riveting. Mild productivity is about all I'm good for these days. Lots of cleaning and cooking and driving people places. Things like that.

I am planning on making some money this summer. I heard from the place I applied to a couple of days ago, and they're giving me a job. Which is exciting, although I'm not exactly going to be making pots of money. Oh well, it will be really awesome. I'm a program aid, so basically I get to hang out with disabled people who work at the ARC (that's where my brother works) all day. It will be sweet. I had to get tested for drugs, tuberculosis, and fingerprinted, all of which made me feel thoroughly criminal. I should be starting there next week.

I'm also going to be taking some violin students for the summer. Our friends the Woods (of Celtic Spring fame) have several students, and since they are going to be gone for most of the summer, I'll be taking their students. I'm looking forward to it.

Deirdre and I are also in a musical for most of the summer- Kiss Me Kate. We're both lowly ensemble girls, but it's fun and something to do. (I got in at the very last minute. I didn't even really audition...) We've been rehearsing for about three weeks, and it opens June 22. I feel wildly unprepared, since I'm used to having large roles, and it feels like we've done almost nothing. We have actually learned all our music, and have staged a lot of it, and have learned our big dance number, so I guess it will come together. It is rather terrifying though!

Besides that, not much has been happening. I actually miss school already, and I miss both my friends there and all you up North. By the way, everyone is more than welcome to come and visit. I don't know if I'll make it up to Washington this summer, since Kiss Me Kate runs through July 21, which means there is no visiting before that ends. And we'll see about afterwards, how jobs and things are going. I hope I can come up and see you all. (By the way, I officially curse all you quarter system people who are not out of school yet. The past couple of weeks would have been ideal to come up and visit!)

Oh yes, and finals all went well. I'm exceedingly glad that they are over with- I decided after our first final that I don't like them. It took me 5 before I decided that. My seminar final was really fun though, although I was horribly nervous for it. Oh, and for our Fabre project (for Freshman lab, everyone has to do an experiment on an animal or plant. You ask a question about it, hypothesize the answer, and then do experiments to determine whether you were right) we (my friend Jacob and I) caught a lizard, asked in what way the temperature of the lizard affected its reactions, hypothesized that hot temperatures would not change its normal reactions, and that cold temperatures would slow them down and eventually cause them to cease altogether. We were right. Fans, small refrigerators and space heaters are very handy for determining this!

Everybody had better behave themselves. You're all in my prayers (probably), and I hope I see you all before too much longer.

Love,
Bing

You have two friends at TAC? That's down from three, isn't it? Bing, you need to be more socially inclined.

And coming to Seattle would greatly help that :)

By the way, I wasn't in school the last couple of weeks. It would have been great if you had come up to see me :)

Who is doing this production of Kiss Me Kate? (Is it a local theater type thing?) Sounds like fun... I remember being in the pit orchestra for the high school production of Oklahoma totally sucked up my life, but it was still a blast.

I hate Oklahoma. *barf*
Hannah, Bing only hangs out with one person at TAC. She does need to work on socializing.
Is it cool with you all if I come up at some point too, or do you just want to see Bing? Haha! Just kidding. :) If Michelle reads this, LOL. *snort* Anyway, yeah. Enjoy sunny Californ.. oh wait, you guys are experiencing June, huh? It always rains in June. How tragic. Oh well, have fun waiting for the fifth of July for it to get nice again. It hasn't rained here since March, I think... It's only rained five or six times since we moved. It's exceptionally dry, though, and we're over a foot under regular. Oh boy...
PS. His name's still not Jacob...

By the way Sheila, I hang out with all sorts of people at TAC. I just hang out with a certain person more than other people.

So i don't need to work on socializing

Deirdre, you're right, and sorry Sheila, it's about customized t-shirts. Not a single word of love in there!

This new look isn't very froggy or toady... unless you're thinking along the lines of "Gone with the Wind." (Is that what I'm thinking of? Whatever story it was that had a rich frog, that's the one I'm thinking of.)

I like the new look.

This new look is definitely a surprise! I clicked on my shortcut to this blog, and I was really, really confused by it. And then i realized that it really was our blog, and felt better immediately.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I totally just remembered I was thinking of "Wind in the Willows"... not "Gone with the Wind." *Humiliation*

I admit I was a little confused, Hannah.

Guys, I think you should change the look again. This is the same as Emma and Michelle's blog, which throws me off.

Daisy said...

No, Emma and Michelle recently changed their look. No longer a problem.
