This is probably not the best time to post....

but it's been a long time.
First of all, pray for my Sensei (karate instructor) from up there. We found out yesterday that he committed suicide on Monday night. Pray for us, too, while you're at it.

On a brighter note, I got a call yesterday from the person who's writing the music for "A Christmas Carol", which Deirdre and Sheila are in, and he wants me to play my violin in a couple of the performances... for $100 a show! It looks like I'll play in the dress rehearsal, opening night, and the second performance. I'm pretty thrilled about that, since playing in these things is always a blast, especially when you're making pots of money.

And it's almost Thanksgiving! I try not to think about how exciting it will be to see Claire and Cowee (and Iain) again. And eat organic food, and make potato cheese soup and barnabas rolls... *aaah!* and pumkin bread! Hurrah!

We got into book five of Euclid last week, and it's horrible. *sigh* Hannah, you understand. Through book four, you're doing normal geometric things, proving things about angles and lines and circles and triangles and squares, then book five comes along, and you've got all these horrible magnitudes and ratios and things. And i've had two props in it already, one of which was yesterday after I heard about Sensei. It was not good. Fortunately, this means that I won't be doing any more in book 5. Thank heavens.

Sarah and I have a pet Jerusalem cricket. It's magnificently ugly, and it tears to shreds anything we feed it. It is incredible. Feel free to google it, if you don't know what they look like.

I love you all. Keep praying for me. I'm praying for you!
Love,
Bingy

Oh, Bing, that is so sad. I think you probably heard about the other suicide that happened up here. Rough times.

Okay... you are going to hate my guts... but I loved book 5. I had prop 11 which was the Golden Mean one... such a beautiful prop. And, if it makes you feel any better, I didn't get the normal geometric stuff most of the time which means my freshman Euclid was harder than yours. So, stick with it! The end of the year is actually normal geometrics WITH book 5 ratios. You combine them and amazing things happen. You need both to get really cool proofs. However, I really sympathize with you on studying props and dreading props and all that good stuff. How are your classes going. You have no idea how TAC-sick I am, especially knowing that you and Sarah are there and that Claire and Cow will be visiting. I want to go SO BAD. But, have a Barnabas roll for me and I'll pray for you and your family and your Sensei's soul.

God bless, Bingy.

I'm sorry to hear that...its such a shame when people feel that they have no other recourse than to do that...

Congratulations on making money, though, and on studying Euclid..good luck! and we're praying for you too!

I hated book 5 at first...but now it's not so bad. I hear from upperclassmen that you get to like it a lot later on in the year cause it starts getting useful for other stuff. I just did prop 17 (almost a page and a half long - uggh) in class the other day.

Oh...that is so sad, and I'm so sorry...May his soul forever rest in peace...
I hope that your school starts behaving itself, well at least math. God bless you, and have a nice Thanksgiving with Cowee, and Claire. I bet you're having a blast with them! God bless you, and I love ya to pieces! Take care. =D

Hey guys, guess what? It rained last night! To misquote Rose: "everything is covered and is all so beautifully wet!" no, I'm not that excited, I just am tired.
Lots of love! Happy less than a month till Christmas!
