Finals week...

So here I am, with only a philosphy phinal looming over me. I'm not actually that nervous about this one, but I wish it would just be over. I have a love-hate relationship with finals week. It's fun to do tons of studying with people from my section, but there's an awful lot of that sort of stuff, and it means that I don't see nearly as much of my "normal" friends. Which makes things really weird.

I had my theology final on Monday, and it was absolutely glorious. It was 3 short essays, I had 2.5 hours to write them in, and they were really interesting topics. I really, really enjoyed it. Tuesday we had a day off, since freshmen don't have a math final, then wednesday I had my oral seminar exam. It was also really fun. I was horribly nervous that I'd be asked a question and completely blank out, but i didn't, and it was really fun to get to talk to my tutor just one-on-one. Then today I had my lab final. I was terrified about it, since basically we were discussing everything for the first time this week... It went well though, and I drew an absolutely gorgeous diagram of the heart. Now I'm killing time before Mass, then I'll hit the philosophy after dinner. Blogging counts as brainless activity, and that's what I'm doing until a few more brain cells are replenished.

I can't wait for finals to be over. Not only will I get three weeks off, go up to Washington to visit, and not have to see a few particularly frustrating people for three weeks, but when I get back, things will return to NORMAL again! I miss the regular old day-to-day stuff, and hanging out with my normal crowd.

Anyway, I'll try to get back to the whole "correspondence" thing during break. I know there are some people who wrote me letters last summer *cringe*, and I really must be better. I'll try to do better. Anyway, pray for me in my philosophy final tomorrow from 9-11. I don't know if it's a good thing that I'm not nervous about it, but I'm not. Lots of love and prayers to everyone. Say "hi" to the cold weather for me, if you have any. That reminds me, it RAINED on Saturday night! Really hard too! it was so nice to smell it and feel it get your hair wet and kind of matted. And we found a SLUG on Granny's sidewalk! It was the first slug I'd seen in goodness knows how long. Glory! Anyway, lots of love.

OK, here we are: we're getting into Seattle at about 11 pm on Thursday, the 28th. We're leaving on Thusday the fourth in the afternoon. So, everyone, start planning parties and everything, because Bernhofts are coming to the great northwest! By the way, a snow day up in the mountains would not be objected to... I am really, really excited!!!!!!

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Cow, Christina, and I won't be getting back from Illinois until the night of the 2nd of January. Cow suggested partying on the night of the third, so hopefully that works out.
