Snirch
Last weekend Stephanie brought home a black, telescope-eyed goldfish. When I saw him the first time, I really wanted to say "snirch!" to him. After a while I queried, "So, are you going to call him 'Fishy'?" since she's always called her fishes that in the past. She said, "I guess so..." At which point I decided to tell her that he looked like a 'Snirch.' Laughter ensued. That's his name now. The great thing about it is that it sounds very Dr. Seuss-ish, like "The Snirch Who Ruined Easter." Haha! The Grinch is to Christmas as Snirch is to Easter. So far he's been a really great pet. It's amusing to listen to Stephanie tell people about him over the phone. "I got a fish! [description of fish]... Snirch... Snirch! S-N-I-R-C-H... No, Claire named him... I don't know! Hahaha!" It's priceless. (I would put a photo of him here, but I have no way to download them since I've lost the cord necessary for such things. My apologies.)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
...heh.
Classic. I like.
Claire,
You are such a crack up! I love you sense of humor and I can picture your face as your saying all this... and laughing with that twinkle in your eyes! Sweet.
God bless you, Claire!

Hahaha! Thanks Mrs. Wilson. It's nice to see you on here! yeah, Snirch is definitely an awesome little fish. Well, I'm off to Adoration at the Newman Center! *celebrate*
I was really sad not to see you this weekend, Claire. I would have liked to. But it was nice talking to you at least. Sunflowers...Ah! Ha ha! Oh, I don't think I told you the story about this one particular sunflower. We were walking through Rome, and stopped on a bridge and I sad on the side and was talking to Cowee when one lone sunflower came floating down the Tiber River. I immediately thought of you! :) Mmm...I miss Italy.
God bless you all! Claire, I will ring you up sometime on your cell phone or on your room line. Love ya Pumpkin!
That's awesome Rose! A sunflower floating down the river! Haha! Oh. Yeah, it was sad not to see you, but I will probably go to Andrew's concert this Sat, and I'll see you there! Fyi: My room number doesn't actually do anything because neither Stephanie nor I brought a phone to plug into the jack... so, cell phone's your only option! Well, besides snail mail. :) Love ya!
Oh yeah... the sunflowers! Italy is all about sunflowers, Hermes. Seriously. Did you hear about the fields of dead ones? They were a pretty pathetic sight, but sort of funny.
I thought that youwould enjoy it. I certainly did. I know! In Tuscany, by the place we were staying, there was a huge field of dead sunflowers. It was sort of depressing...:) But just imagine what it would have been like when they were alive! That would have been gorgeous!
No phone eh? Okay, then I will be sure to call your cell phone. I can't wait to see you Sat.! Madeline, will you be there? I love you! God bless you both!
For anyone who enjoys these sorts of things... the other night Andrea, who's in admin. with the Newman Center was trying to recruit people to go be ushers for the Catholic youth convention the 1st weekend of Nov. I was talking to Diana, and she comes up and says, "What are you guys doing Nov 3-5?" I was like "Party!" in true Brian fashion. Hahaha! Luckily, she didn't take me seriously.
Oh, and by the way, I found out yesterday that my clarinet teacher, Gene Zoro is Catholic too. Yay! More power to us. He almost immediately brought up St. James Cathedral because of the beautiful music, saying the first time he ever heard it there, he thought, "So this is what it means to 'be transported.'" Haha! How cute. I told him about Mozart's Requiem the evening of All Soul's (Nov 2), and he's going to try to make it down there for that. So, I thought that was pretty awesome. :)
Oh my gosh! A Catholic teacher is just about the coolest thing ever. It's seems so weird that you would have so much in common. Ha ha! Poor us.
Partay! I hope Prof. Zorro comes to the Mozart's Requiem. Yesterday at choir we sang all Britten, out of 3 different scores. Crazy. But, the piano parts are so awesome.
Guess what? On October 31st I get to go to mass, then there's the exposition of relics of St. Dominic and St. Peregrine. I'm totally excited!!!!!!!! I always knew there was more to that special day than costumes & candy. *sigh*
Just the relics of St. Peregrine and St. Dominic? That's awesome! I love relics, and I say a million of them while in Rome. It was amazing, for just about every church we went into had some amazing relics and some incuroptiple (sp?) saint's body. Wow!
Nope, many more than that:) I told you about them in my email
